TOPIC: DON’T IMPORT SIN INTO YOUR LIFE BY MEDDLING IN OTHER PEOPLE’S MATTER July Friday 24th
TEXT: Psalm 19:11-13
KEY VERSE: 1 Timothy 5:24 Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.
For some men, immediately they commit a sin, it is made public and they are judged. For others, their sins follow after them. You will never know that they are sinners. When Laban came to search on Jacob and his household because of his idol that disappeared from the house, they never knew that the idol was with Rachael. Rachael sat on it and Laban never imagined that it was under Rachael. Rachael had explained that she could not stand up to be searched because she was in her monthly period and Laban believed her. Many of these people you are defending, thinking they are righteous; thinking they are guiltless, are actually deep sinners.
For you that has made up your mind to be holy, you must be careful so that you don’t meddle in other people’s matter and import sin into your life. It is good to defend but know this wisdom also and have this spiritual understanding that there are people that are sitting on sin. You will not know, hence it will require you going to ask God, “This man is saying he is innocent, is he? This man is saying he did not commit the adultery they accused him of, did he or did he not do it? This woman is saying she is not a witch, is it so or she is just lying?” If you don’t diligently enquire from the Lord, you may be siding sinners and thereby contending against God. Your ignorance of the truth about the matter will not excuse you from being condemned with the sinner. Leviticus 5:17 And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity. May be God even exposed it and you are now the one defending it. Be careful; be wise. God is telling you, “My son, my daughter, be wise and make your Father glad.” Make God glad by wisdom. The depth of understanding of the scripture will give it unto you.
