DON’T LABOUR FOR OTHERS TO THE NEGLECT OF YOUR SOUL

For taking your time to study remain blessed.
TOPIC: DON’T  LABOUR FOR OTHERS TO THE NEGLECT OF YOUR SOUL    July Wednesday 22nd
TEXT: Mark 6:30-32
KEY VERSE: 2 Timothy 2:6 The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.

Love is the great commandment. The first is to love God and the second, which is like it, is to love your neighbour as yourself. God has not commanded you to love others to the neglect of yourself. That is why you must not labour for others to the neglect of your own wellbeing. Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 5:23, “I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” See how he wishes you to go on to the end until the Lord comes for you, either at death or in the rapture, so that you can carry your ministry to the tail end. You need preservation and this preservation is for your body, for your spirit, and for your soul. God desires that we who minister to others in the gospel should also minister to ourselves so that we may be first partaker in the benefits of the gospel. He is talking to us who are ministers, “Take care of yourself because I want fullness from you. I want you to receive the blessing of it, spiritually and physically.”

Today’s key verse says, “The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.”
This verse is saying that you must make sure you minister to your spirit and soul before ministering to others. By this understanding, we are combining both the spirit and the soul, although in reality we know that they are separate. Make sure that you take care of your spiritual life well. Don’t neglect it for any reason. This counsel is essential because it is often the case with many Christian workers and ministers to overwork themselves serving others to the neglect of their own wellbeing. They are busy working for others while they neglect their own lives. Eat well, rest well, sleep well and take good care of your health as you labour in the vineyard of God. This way, you will preserve yourself strong enough to face tomorrow’s task. Even Jesus in His earthly ministry found time to rest. Mark 6:31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

Thought for the day: Take good care of yourself, physically and spiritually.
Song for the day: Grace, thy grace alone is all I plead for……
Bible reading for the day: Psalm 36-37; Acts 23:1-11

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
