TOPIC: REMOVE THE OBSTACLE TO YOUR HEAVENLY RACE (1)
JULY TUESDAY 10th

TEXT: Philippians. 3:12-14
KEY VERSE: That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory; 1 Thessalonians 2: 12

Hebrews 3:1, “Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus.” The heavenly race is a high calling; a heavenly calling. Your name is already in the book of life. That is why this scripture calls you holy brethren. It is rare privilege. Luke 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. You are a step ahead of many in the world. You are among the privileged few of about 7 billion in the world whose names are in the book of life, yet there are obstacles on the journey. Your name is shortlisted. There is high hope. As the ancient saints whose names were shortlisted eventually entered heaven, you too will get there in Jesus name.
But the Lord warns that there are obstacles on the way. Some saints of old were not watchful so their names were removed. The Lord is saying that if you are able to watch, obey and follow, He will not blot your name from the Book of Life. Moses sought his name to be blotted out for the sake of fellow Israelites but God refused because Moses did not sin against him. Exodus 32:32-33  Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.
Paul was conscious of these obstacles hence he wrote in 1 Corinthians 9:24-27, “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. Paul was already saved when he wrote this, but he was conscious of the fact that he had to preserve his salvation otherwise his name would be blotted out if he sinned. Are you also living in consciousness of this fact?

Thought for the day: Do not take your salvation for granted. Walk worthy of your high calling.
Song for the day: Will you be ready when Jesus comes?
Bible reading for the day:
Psalms 1-3; Acts 16:1-15

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
