TOPIC: DIFFERENT KINDS OF EVANGELISM APPROACH
JULY FRIDAY 13th

TEXT: Matthew 9:35-38
KEY VERSE: And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16: 15
Evangelism is the act of convincing people to become Christians. It is a soul-winning strategy, whereby a Christian tries to persuade an unbeliever to become a Christian, by preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, and convincing him/her to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, through peaceful persuasion. There are different methods of evangelism:
i. Personal Evangelism (Mk.6:7; Lk.10:1): This is person-to-person interaction, whereby a Christian engages an unbeliever in biblical discussion in order to convince him or her, to believe on Jesus Christ, and accept Him as his/her Lord and personal Saviour.
ii. Mass Evangelism. people going out at a time, to preach the gospel to people in the market place, motor park, on the street, community, etc.
iii. Crusade (Acts.5:25): It is a spiritual expedition undertaken by Christians to win souls for Christ. This could be organized in a public football field, stadium, hall, playground, church building, town-hall, etc.
iv. Morning/Evening Cries (Isaiah.62:6): This involves going out early in the morning or evening to preach the gospel to the people in a community or on the street.
v. Correspondence Evangelism (1 John 2:12-14): This method involves employing diverse means of communication such as letter writing, text message and the social media to reach out to people with the gospel message. Paul the apostle used this method greatly.
vi. Automobile Evangelism (Acts.8:26-31): This kind of evangelism is done in the taxi, bus, train, airplane, motorbike etc. The preacher engages the passengers in bible discussion, stressing and affirming that Jesus Christ is the only way to God,
vii. Literature Evangelism (2 Tim. 2:15; 4:13): Evangelism tools include tracts, Christian books, magazines, CD plates, posters, fliers etc. The Evangelist gives out these materials either free of charge or at a token to get the people acquainted with the true message of salvation, holiness and righteousness.
viii. Celebration Evangelism: During naming ceremony, birth day party etc., the celebrant invites a large number of people and brings in a holiness preacher who preaches to the invitees to their conviction and conversion of their souls.
ix. Retreats and Conferences (Ps 50:5, 6 Mt 5: 1, 2): Messages are preached, seminars and symposia are organized and bible teachings are delivered to participants.
x. Phone Calls/video Calls: We can also reach out in evangelism through these media.
Thought for the day: Preach the gospel in and out of season.
Song for the day: Isaiah heard the voice of the Lord, and he say here am I send me.
Bible reading for the day:

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
