TOPIC: YOU ARE EITHER SEEING A VISION OR LOSING ONE
JULY MONDAY 16th

TEXT: Colossians 1:28-29
KEY VERSE: Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. Proverbs 29: 18

Vision could refer to a supernatural revelation through dreams, trance or religious ecstasy. Another definition of vision is a picture or idea you have in your mind of yourself, your business or anything that is going to happen. Whichever definition you are looking at, one thing that is clear is that a vision positions you for the future. A vision helps you to navigate life better.  The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but life without a purpose or a vision. To live a purposeless or visionless life is to reduce yourself to any inanimate object like a stone or wood. Those who lack vision live by the whims and caprices of other people. Every serious Christian must have a vision and the primary vision should be on going to heaven. Apostle Paul expressed this truth in Philippians 3:13-14, “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Ability to key into heavenly vision is what brings about success in life, yet not everybody has this wisdom. Preoccupation with fantasies of this world has made many to lose focus and derail destiny. Jacob used a stone as a pillow and saw a vision. Samson used Delilah's thigh as a pillow and lost his vision. What pillow are you resting your head on? What is the pillar of your life? Judas had the same opportunity as the other eleven apostles, he laboured along with them but had a different vision of life. All his focus was on money, not eternal life. Moses abandoned Pharaoh’s palace in pursuit of divine vision. Joseph ran away from sexual immorality because of divine vision. Daniel refused the king’s meal because of divine vision. Jesus, even as the Son of God, lived with a vision saying in John 9:4, “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” What are you doing with the vision God has given to you? Are you working it out or already losing it to sin and iniquity?

Thought for the day: A visionless life is a rudderless life tossed about by the wind
Song for the day: I am running a race to meet my redeemer (2x) Heavenly race.....
Bible reading for the day: Psalm 19-21; Acts 19:21-41

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
