TOPIC: HANDLING CHURCH CONFLICTS IN MARRIAGE
JULY SUNDAY 8th

TEXT:  Acts 5:27-29
KEY VERSE: I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Luke 17: 34
Church conflict arises in marriage when the couple worship in different churches and there is disagreement over denominational doctrines. Many believers are of the opinion that since the couple is one in flesh and God has placed the man as head of the family, the two should worship in the husband’s church. While it is true that husband and wife are one in flesh, they are NOT one in soul. God expects each of them to understand Him personally and deal with Him individually. The heavenly race is personal and not collective like a relay race. The key verse of today shows that at the second coming of the Lord, while husband and wife are sleeping together in one bed, one shall be taken and the other left behind. Each person will be dealt with according to his or her relationship with God, notwithstanding the spiritual state of his or her partner.
Ezekiel 18:4, 20, “4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. 20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
Common areas of church conflict in marriage include the following:
• The notion that wife must attend husband’s church. This is unscriptural
• Absolute control by the husband. The wife’s submission to husband is qualified and not absolute. Her first loyalty is to God, not her husband. The wife will only submit as much as it conforms with God’s command or “fits in the Lord” (Colossians 3:18).
• Persecution by husband. This is particularly prevalent when the husband is not born again or when he is involved in fetish practices or occultism (John 3:19-20). In this situation, let the wife endure persecution because she is blessed for suffering for Christ (Matthew 5:10-11).
• Ignorance: Many are yet to understand that the holiness teaching and preaching going on in Holiness Revival Movement is an absolute necessity to prepare them for heaven. They are held in denominational bondage which make them restrain their wives from coming to HOREMOW fellowship.
Humble yourself, join the five wise virgins, go the extra mile for Jesus. Wives don’t give up; your freedom is coming shortly. Your joy is an everlasting one.

Thought for the day: Live to please God, not a mere mortal
Song for the day: Jesus must be honoured in my life everyday
Bible reading for the day:
Job 38-39; Acts  15:1-21

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
