TOPIC: REMOVE THE OBSTACLE TO YOUR HEAVENLY RACE (2) – UNBELIEF
JULY MONDAY 23rd

TEXT: 2 Thessalonians 2:12-13

KEY VERSE: Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief. Hebrews 4: 6

The Lord has been promising the Israelites I am taking you to a land flowing with milk and honey. He gave them able leaders and showed signs and wonders. He asked them to send spies to the land. They came back but doubted God and likened themselves to grasshoppers. They did not believe so they perished in the wilderness. Hebrews 3:7-12 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.  Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
It is a grave sin to disbelieve Jesus and turn to another god or cease to believe him as Lord and Saviour. It will turn you away from the Kingdom of God. For as many as believe Him He gave power to become the sons of God. Do not disbelieve His promises, faithfulness, mercies, salvation, forgiveness, compassion and provision. Do not turn your eyes away from God as Peter did and began to sink.

Hebrews 4:1-3 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. Those people whose name were removed was because they did not believe the doctrines of righteousness, purification and sanctification. They did not believe it was possible to live without sin. Since they didn't believe they couldn't come to God for cleansing. They didn’t believe all these artificial makeups are filthiness. The word preached to them was not mixed with faith. They missed heaven because of unbelief.

Thought for the day: To doubt God is to doubt your very existence and forfeit His promises.
Song for the day: Believe it shall be well, believe in Jesus it shall be well
Bible reading for the day: Psalm 38-40; Acts 23:12-35

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
