TOPIC: LYING LIPS THE LORD DETESTS
 AUGUST WEDNESDAY 1st

TEXT: Psalm 120:2-3

KEY VERSE: Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight. Proverbs 12: 22

Psalm 12:1-4 Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men. They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things: Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

Many people profit in lies, even giving lying records. Sometimes they use people to lie so that it cannot be traced to them. Church pastors, treasurers and other workers are prone to Satan's temptation on money. Whenever other people’s money comes into your hand many evil thoughts will flood your heart. Satan will bring sickness because of the money in your custody. You will touch the money and the door of hell will open to you. Your Christianity has finished! In order not to be found out, Satan will give you ready-made lies to coverup your iniquity. As a custodian of God’s money, keep a separate purse and close your mind to the existence of that money. It is God’s money, not yours. It is like the tithe you have set aside to pay to the church. You must not touch it. If you must use God’s money in your possession, seek approval of a higher authority.

In Acts 5, Ananias and Sapphira his wife sold their possession, kept back part of the money and brought the remaining part to the apostles claiming that it was the full price of the property. The lie they told corrupted their noble deed. They sold themselves to Satan. Divine judgment on them was instant. Contractors, Estate Valuers, accountants, lawyers, artisans and market traders often tell lies to make a “good deal” in their business. Nothing good can come out of lies. All liars are alienated from God. Desist from lying! John 8:44, “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”

Thought for the day: Do not tell lies, do not condone lies, do not encourage lies.
Song for the day: Eternal life, I want to live eternal God save my soul
Bible reading for the day: Psalm 65-67; Romans 2

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
