TOPIC: FRUITFUL EVANGELISM BY THE BUSY CHRISTIAN
JULY THURSDAY 26th

TEXT: Acts 26:16-18 MARK 16: 15 – 18
KEY VERSE: Thus saith God the Lord … I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thy hand and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the gentiles. Isaiah 42: 5-6

Every Christian, irrespective of secular assignments and spiritual commitments is bound by the divine instruction of the Lord Jesus Christ to embark on evangelism. The Lord expects all his children to take the gospel to every living soul in the four corners of the world. But we find out that people in both paid- and self-employment often struggle for time to engage in evangelism. They are too busy either working to satisfy their employers, waking up early to go to work and coming back late from work, or in the case of the self-employed, too busy making money or pursuing contracts. But the truth is that no matter how busy a person may be in his or her secular employment, there is ample opportunity to evangelize. The open door of evangelism is presented in the people they meet in the course of their work or business. Evangelism fields opened to them include people they meet in the public transport they take to their workplace and those they interact with at their places of work, whether it is an office or a workshop.  There are also opportunities open to them in their neighbourhood in the evenings when they return home early or at weekends.

Another open door of evangelism for busy people is to invest their money in supporting and promoting evangelism. They could invest into tracts production for distribution by themselves and others. They could also invest in Christian literature books and HOREMOW messages on CDs, DVDs and memory cards for free distribution by themselves and others. Also, they could give financial support for missionaries who are engaged in full time evangelism but lack the resources to do so. They could sponsor crusades in any part of the world as the Lord gives them grace. Beloved, no matter how busy you are, there is always an opportunity for evangelism.  Remember that this is God’s heartbeat and he has given us the mandate to point His people to heaven and to turn them from darkness to the wonderful light of God (Acts 26: 16—18). May God empower all of us irrespective of our work schedule to work in obedience to the Lord Jesus.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
