PATIENCE IS REQUIRED IN PRAYER

God bless you for taking your time to study.

PATIENCE IS REQUIRED IN PRAYER
TEXT: 1 KINGS 18: 41- 46

TUESDAY NOVEMBER 15th

Key verse: Hebrews 10:36-37 36 For ye have to need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. 37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

Patience is important in prayer. We need to wait for God’s divine intervention and responses to our prayers. We should try not to take any action until we are clear in our understanding of the will of God for our lives. We must have faith to believe that God hears our prayers and will respond at the precise time. Many times, believers do not understand the next move but have become hasty to make decisions. As we see in 1 Kings 18, Elijah instructed his servant, but the servant did not quite catch the vision until seven times later. It is a great lesson to us, that Elijah was not hasty to make rash decisions but was persistent to ensure the message and vision were clear.
We must be patient to watch God at work in our prayer life by understanding His response to our petitions. As Christian people, we need to have faith that God will always act in our best interest. We have a purpose in our lives when we act within the providence of God! We have access to the power of the Holy Spirit when we wait on God’s providence with patient, purposeful and persistent prayer! We must be patiently persevering, as it shows God that we are serious in our prayer.
We should not cease or faint in prayers, because the scripture admonishes us to pray without ceasing. Yes, there are moments of delay, but the Lord is saying to us, ‘don’t listen to delay, just continue praying and be patient.’ Remember, Jesus in agony went three times and fell before His Father with the same words. Remember, Daniel, prayed and was patient for the answer of deliverance even when the enemy was trying to rob him of the answer. When Satan comes with the spirit of defeat and impatience, shift to a higher gear in prayers, and your patience shall be rewarded in Jesus' Name.

Thought for the day: Wait on the Lord and be of good courage!

Song for the day: Pray until something happens, keep on praying,g and never stop

Bible reading for the day: Ezekiel 10-12; Hebrews 11:1-19

For taking your time to study remain blessed. August Tuesday 27th TOPIC: CORRECT WATER BAPTISM TEXT: Mark 16:15-16 KEY VERSE: Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. The believer requires water baptism. The baptism that Jesus commanded is in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. It is done by immersion in water because the three Persons are One. In Acts of the Apostles, the people were baptizing in the name of Jesus. They used the phrase “in the name of Jesus” to indicate that the baptism was carried out as authorized by Jesus, and the baptism authorized by Jesus is that which is done in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. It is not to say that they dip people in water and say, “I baptize you in the name of Jesus.” The name of Jesus cannot represent the Godhead. The Father is not Jesus, the Holy Spirit is not Jesus, Jesus is God who be
