TOPIC: THE ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES OF GOD         April Thursday 30th
Text: Psalm 139:7-12
Key verse: Proverbs 15:3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

These are attributes that are unique to God and make God to be God. They can never be shared by any of His creations like man, otherwise man would become God.

i. God is Eternal. He has no beginning and no end. God exists from eternity to eternity. Psalm 90:2 says, “From everlasting to everlasting thou art God.” He is everlasting (forever and ever ‘backward’, forever and ever ‘forward’). God exists from a dateless past that has no beginning and will be there forever (world without end).
ii. God is Self-Existent. God exists in and by Himself. He is the “I AM.” Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. He owes his existence to no one. He lives independent of anyone.
iii. God is Immutable. Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. God is unchanged and unchangeable as to His character or being.
iv. God is Omnipotent. God is all-powerful. Nothing is impossible with God. Psalm 62:11 God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.
v. God is Omniscient. He is all-knowing. He knows all things at all times. He knows all things in the past, present and in the future. There is nothing He does not know or has not known from eternity. He never has to learn anything.
vi. God is Omnipresent. God is all-present. He cannot be limited by space and time. He is everywhere present at all times

Thought for the day: God exists in and by Himself
Song for the day: I am that I am, I changeth not…
Bible reading of the day:
2 Samuel 23-24; Luke 22:31-53

August Tuesday 27th TOPIC: CORRECT WATER BAPTISM TEXT: Mark 16:15-16 KEY VERSE: Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. The believer requires water baptism. The baptism that Jesus commanded is in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. It is done by immersion in water because the three Persons are One. In Acts of the Apostles, the people were baptizing in the name of Jesus. They used the phrase “in the name of Jesus” to indicate that the baptism was carried out as authorized by Jesus, and the baptism authorized by Jesus is that which is done in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. It is not to say that they dip people in water and say, “I baptize you in the name of Jesus.” The name of Jesus cannot represent the Godhead. The Father is not Jesus, the Holy Spirit is not Jesus, Jesus is God who be
