TOPIC: DO NOT FOLLOW SHADOWS BUT FOLLOW JESUS
NOVEMBER Tuesday 6th

TEXT: Acts 5: 12-14
KEY VERSE: And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: Acts 19: 11
The shadow of Peter healed the sick. Did the shadow of John, Andrew or Paul heal the sick? Peter alone. Unique manifestation! Did the shadow of Peter keep on healing the sick indefinitely? No, it just appeared for sometimes and then ended; otherwise people will abandon Jesus and be following the shadow of Peter. They will be following shadows just as multitudes are doing today. God does not do like that. The physical destroys the spiritual, for we are spiritual and not physical. The aprons and handkerchiefs were taken from Paul to heal the sick. Were they also taken from Peter, John, Barnabas or Timothy?  From Paul alone the Holy Ghost manifested that for a definite purpose of His: to cause people to believe in Christ. Handkerchiefs and aprons were taken from Paul to the sick and they were healed, and it happened for a period and ended. That was all; it did not repeat the second time. It didn’t.
Now if this is so, Timothy who walked closely with Paul as a son to him, was he distributing handkerchiefs? Was He giving out aprons? No, because he will not take that unique miracle to become the normal way of miracle. Why is it that in the churches today, ministers are using handkerchief and aprons? And are telling their members that it will do miracles, from where did they get that teaching? “From one witness thou shalt not establish a matter, from the mouth of two or three witnesses.” Apart from Paul who again used handkerchief and apron, that you are now coming to stand upon it. Why don’t you also gather your members before the sea and say members we are crossing this sea I’m going to tell God to divide it.  The spirit that motivated that is of the devil, it’s not the spirit of Christ because that is not the normal way. “He that entereth not in through the door but cometh the other way into the house, the same is a thief and a robber.” The sheep will never hear him; he’s a thief and a robber, and that’s the devil. So, those that are distributing these handkerchiefs and aprons, promoting them, they are not doing it by the spirit of the great God, they are not, because they don’t have this Bible as their authority. But then, aren’t these handkerchiefs working miracles? Aren’t these aprons working miracles? Aren’t these holy water working miracles? They can work miracles. Is it only God that works miracle? When God sent Moses to Egypt and said, “You will throw your rod down and it shall turn to a serpent. Weren’t there people in Egypt that also threw their rods down and they also became serpents? So the fact that these aprons and handkerchiefs are working miracles does not mean that they are from God.

For taking your time to study remain blessed. August Tuesday 27th TOPIC: CORRECT WATER BAPTISM TEXT: Mark 16:15-16 KEY VERSE: Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. The believer requires water baptism. The baptism that Jesus commanded is in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. It is done by immersion in water because the three Persons are One. In Acts of the Apostles, the people were baptizing in the name of Jesus. They used the phrase “in the name of Jesus” to indicate that the baptism was carried out as authorized by Jesus, and the baptism authorized by Jesus is that which is done in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. It is not to say that they dip people in water and say, “I baptize you in the name of Jesus.” The name of Jesus cannot represent the Godhead. The Father is not Jesus, the Holy Spirit is not Jesus, Jesus is God who be
