TWO KINDS OF VESSEL
April Sunday 22nd
Text: Luke 1:74-75
Key Verse: Isaiah 52:11  Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.

There are two categories of people in the house of God. 2Ti 2:19-21 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20  But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21  If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. Vessels unto dishonour are those that serve with pride, malice, greed, worldliness and all kinds of sinful behaviour. Vessels unto honour are those that serve with purity, truth, holiness and righteousness and in the fear of God. Some people are very busy in the church and almost everywhere but they are contaminated vessels. Some others exhibit great anointing as firebrand prayer warriors, talented singers, powerful deliverance minsters or gifted preachers but they only look beautiful outside, their inside is full of filth and impurities like a whitewashed tomb. Anointing and busyness in the church are not sufficient proof of God’s approval.

In Judges 13:1-5, Samson was anointed for service right from the womb. His ministry was to deliver Israel from the oppressive hands of the philistines. Judges 13:24-25  And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the LORD blessed him. 25  And the Spirit of the LORD began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol. But the anointing did not make him holy.   He had a calling but was not born again. He was in the service of God but not prepared for heaven. The spirit of God moved him and he experienced divine favour yet without holiness. He frolicked with prostitutes and ended up scrapping his anointing on the lap of a woman. In Isaiah 45:1-5, the Lord called and anointed Cyrus for service even though he was a pagan king who did not know him or his righteousness and holiness. It is simply God’s grace and favour. In the same way, God has been preserving and protecting you even in your sin because of the calling and service he prepared for you in advance. Do not assume you are heaven-bound unless you repent and reconcile with God.

Thought for the day: God will use you as you prepare yourself – for honour or dishonour
Song for the day: Make me worthy o Lord
Bible reading for the day: 2 Samuel 4-6; Luke 18:18-43

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
