COUNSEL AND WISDOM FOR CHRIST'S MINISTERS
April 3rd
Text: Proverbs 4:1-12
Key Text: Proverbs 1:33  But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

Wisdom is the principal thing. Wisdom will preserve you in this corrupt world. It will protect you and your ministry from Satan and wicked men in the world. When wisdom is lacking, there is a higher tendency to misuse anointing and fail in ministry. Godly counsel is also very important to run a successful ministry. Here is a guide on how to run a successful ministry:
i. Associate with the right people in your life and ministry. There are two kinds of people - the good and bad. The bad are more. There are two categories of ministers - the godly and the ungodly - associate with the godly ministers. The righteous and godly are wise people and if you associate with them you will be wise and not miss heaven. Who is your partner?. Evil company and evil association will corrupt your manners. Proverbs 13:20.
ii. Seek Prayer Assistance. Mobilize your wife, family and Christian brothers and sisters to pray. Luke 18:1; Matthew 18:19-21; Ephesians 6:18.
iii. Do not hide your sins. Sin is no respecter of persons. You commit immorality and you're still presiding over the church as general overseer? Your name is already removed from the book of life and you say you are doing crusade and leading sinners to Christ? You are labouring in vain because heaven does not recognize your labour. Seek mercy while it is available. Proverbs 28:13; Psalm 32:1-5.
iv. Do not refuse suffering. Suffering is part of the Christian life. Do not fight against scoffers, critics, persecutors. If you sin, be ready to suffer for it.  Matt. 5:10-12; 39-41; Acts 21:10-14; Rom. 8:18
v. Care for your health and life. Don't keep sickness for too long because of faith. Early treatment is helpful. Apart from prayer, orthodox or herbal medication is profitable. Why must you die before your time. Do regular medical checkup. Do regular exercise. Do not indulge in excessive fasting.
vi. You will run a self-supportive ministry. Don't create a financial burden on your members. It is more dignifying to fend for yourself. When you make yourself a parasite on church members, the tendency is for you to use all kinds of tricks through false prophecies etc. to extort money from people. Emulate Paul's example. Acts 18:1-3; Acts 20:33-35; 1 Cor. 9:13-18; 2 Thess. 3:7-15
vii. Be the least among men. Luke 14:8-11
viii. Live by faith. Rom. 1:16-17
ix. Understand the rule of biblical judgment. Be careful in joining issues that is not clear to you.  Matthew 28:11-15
x. Be heavenly focused. Colossians 3:1-2; Philippians 1:23.
Thought for the day: To excel in ministry, get wisdom, get understanding and do not forsake wise counsel.
Song: When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
