YOU MUST PURIFY YOURSELF BOTH INWARDLY AND OUTWARDLY
April 4th
Text: Romans 12:1-3
Key Verse: “Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.” 2 Corinthians 7:1.

In his craftiness, Satan has succeeded in turning many away from the whole truth of God that can save. To the ignorant, he presents raw satanic doctrines and to the knowledgeable half-truths that have the semblance of truth. Unfortunately, children of God are sometimes not wise enough to see through his lie hence they fall victim. If I need to drink a glass of water, would I not be comfortable drinking from a glass cup that is washed clean both inside and outside? That's exactly the way God wants His children to be. He wants us to be clean both in and out - undefiled in body, soul and spirit. That way, we would be vessels of honour made ready for holy use.

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23.
Some pastors preach that God only looks at the heart and not at our appearance. That's half-truth, concocted by Satan and imported from the pit of hell. What does the bible say? “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” Romans 12:1. Here the scripture is specific on how to preserve the BODY – holy and acceptable to God. This is necessary because our body is the temple of God and it belongs to Him. We cannot treat our body anyhow and expect God to be happy with us. He that owns our body says it must be preserved holy. This is amplified in the key verse for today which says, “Let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.” It is not enough to be of good character (inward purification), you must also be pure in bodily adornment and dressing (outward purity) by forsaking all artificial and false make ups, body attachments, tattoos and “Jezebelic” body-exposing and seductive dresses.

In some denominations where the truth about adornments is taught and practiced, Satan has succeeded in getting them to glory in their holy dressing while neglecting their inner character thus exalting themselves in self-righteousness. Satan has blinded their eyes and darkened their hearts to the truth that holiness is an ABSOLUTE state of being. Jesus likens such Christians to whitewashed tombs which look beautiful on the outside, but on the inside, are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean.

Thought for the day:   Dress holy and do not neglect your godly character.
Song for the day: Make me holy o Lord
Bible reading for the day:
Judges 12-14; Luke 9:37-62

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
