HOLINESS REVIVAL MOVEMENT WORLDWIDE Daily Devotional EVERY WORD OF GOD FOR DAILY LIVING  _BY_ *PASTOR PAUL RIKA*  Int'l Director        (Holiness Revival Movement Worldwide) THURSDAY NOVEMBER 1 , 2018  _TOPIC:_    *YOU WILL SUCCEED AS CHRIST DID BY PRAYER*           TEXT: John 16: 23-24. KEY VERSE: It came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, one of His disciples said, Lord, teach us how to pray as John taught his disciples. Luke 11: 1. When Jesus Christ came to us in the flesh, He went into the business of prayer because He was promoting the attribute of God as a prayer-answering God. He would not render that attribute idle or redundant. Nobody knew how John did it, but Jesus reveals here that the success you saw in the ministry of John the Baptist, the victory you saw in his ministry, is because he was a prayer man. John so much valued prayer. He saw the essentials of pr...

TOPIC: UNIQUE OCCURENCES DO NOT FORM DOCTRINES      OCTOBER Wednesday 31st TEXT: Joshua 10: 12-15 KEY VERSE: And there was no day like that before it or after it that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel. Joshua 10: 14 The Lord told Moses, “Speak to the rock and water shall come out, smite the rock water shall come out, is the rock producing water for the church now? Have you heard that the church of Christ gathered together in a great congregation, their water finished and they went and spoke to the rock and water came out? These are things that happen in His sovereignty, they are not the normal path He has provided for your normal living. There are promises for your normal life that God has provided and not for these other things some manifest pride in. Again, Joshua commanded the sun and the moon to stand still. It happened once, but by the impartation of the faith of the Holy Gho...

TOPIC: CLARIFICATIONS ON USE OF THREAD AND CUTTING OF HAIR      OCTOBER Tuesday 30th TEXT: 1 Peter 3: 1-6 KEY VERSE: Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; 1 Peter 3: 3 QUESTION: When preaching to people and sharing HOREMOW materials, some of them will tell you that, if weavon is a sin then the thread that you are using to plait your hair is also a sin. They will ask us, do you know where that thread you are using came from? So I just want you to say something about it. Then the other question is about cutting of hair. Is it when you cut all your hair that the glory is gone or when you just cut it low cut? I want to know if cutting our hair is a sin. ANSWER: There is nothing wrong with plaiting your hair modestly with thread as long as you are not worldly in your design. Thread has been in use for many years before hair attachment came...

TOPIC: THE JUST MAN BELIEVES IN GOD      OCTOBER Monday 29th TEXT: Isaiah 50: 7-10 KEY VERSE: I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee Jeremiah 31:3 The just man is conscious of the omnipresence nature of God. He is fully convinced that God is always with him in his problems and in his prospects. He knows that at the end of the tunnel, light shall replace darkness for him.  The just man knows that God will always come to his help at critical moments of life.  When the enemies besiege him, he is conscious of help coming to him from above.  That is why the Psalmist says he is not afraid. The just man knows of the omniscience nature of God. He knows that God is aware of the root, the origin and source of his problem; therefore, the days of the existence of his problem are numbered.  God who knows everything knows the end of that problem from the beginni...

TOPIC: ASK ME TO DO IT FOR YOU      OCTOBER Friday 26th TEXT: Ezekiel 36: 25-37 KEY VERSE: Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock. Ezekiel 36: 37 “Then shall I sprinkle clean water upon you…” Can you see God promising to save the sinners, promising to give you a new heart: a heart of love, a heart of holiness, a heart of obedience? He is promising to perfect you. Among many other things, He said: “And I will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and ye shall keep My judgments, and do them.” Ezekiel 36:27. In other words, God is saying, “I will give you My Spirit, and give you my grace, and put my power of righteousness within you that will cause you to live your life without offending me.” Doesn’t God know that you need the grace from Him to live a righteous life? Doesn’t God know that you ...

TOPIC: ANOINTING OIL MUST NOT REPLACE THE GOSPEL OF FAITH        OCTOBER Thursday 25th TEXT: Hebrews 11: 1-6 KEY VERSE: O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? Galatians 3: 1 The gospel of Christ is called the gospel of faith. Without seeing you believe, but men will want to see and will want to touch. And will turn that which he sees and touch it to idol. So now, we see people who have exalted anointing oil, they’ve exalted it, they carried it about; without it faith has been destroy. If you want them to have faith brings out the anointing bottle. There are people that have exalted administration of injections so seriously, if they come to the hospital and you give them drugs without injections, you are wasting time; their faith is not going to catch that. So, even if the thing doesn’t need inje...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. OCTOBER Wednesday 24th TEXT: John 17: 14-20 KEY VERSE: Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John 17: 17 The Gospel of Sanctification deals with inner cleansing, inner purity, the purity of heart. The believer has become part of the church. The Bible says, Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it. For God so loved the world that He gave Jesus for it on the cross. Christ now loved the church and gave Himself for it. The death on the cross has dual purpose: (1). Bring the sinner to salvation in Christ; (2). Bring the believer to sanctification and purity of the heart.  So that is the message the believers need to hear: that your heart can be purified. It is just like when your cloth is dirty, you carry it to water and wash it, when you wash it in water you do another thing to it. What do you do? You rinse it. You carry it to another water to rinse it, at the first washing, dirt came out but there are still some...
