REMOVE SLANDERERS FROM THE HOUSE OF GOD

God bless you for taking the time to study.

REMOVE SLANDERERS FROM THE HOUSE OF GOD
TEXT: 2 Samuel 16:1-4

SATURDAY MAY 27th

Key Verse: Psalm 101:5 Whoso privily slandereth his neighbor, him will I cut off,
Slanderers do not carry the message of love but of resentment. They are destroyers and not builders. Their aim is self-promotion and self-protection. When Ziba came to David in the wilderness as he fled from Absalom, to get David’s favour, he came with a slander against Mephibosheth. King David asked him of Mephibosheth his master, he said Mephibosheth was busy preparing himself in Jerusalem to be king saying, “Now the Lord shall restore to me the kingdom of my father that was snatched away from the hand of Saul.” David wondered why a lame man he has shown mercy should act this way knowing he saved him from death because of the covenant he made with Jonathan his father. With all he has done for Mephibosheth, why should he seek his hurt? He gave Ziba the vineyard he once restored to Mephibosheth. See what a slander can do! You can understand why David vouched to cut off slanderers from his domain.
When David returned to Jerusalem, Mephibosheth came to David looking unkempt from his head to his feet. David wondered if this was the man Ziba said was preparing to take over the kingdom. Mephibosheth’s defense showed Ziba his servant slandered him. “He that is a slanderer, I will cut off!” This is the resolution of a godly leader. Their aim is to destroy the throne with their tongue. If you depend on their evil report, you will oppress the innocent under your government. They look so true that if you are not careful, they may not require further investigation. Un-investigated actions on lies or slanders have made many people cry against their leaders to God for maltreatment on matters they are not aware of. That is why the Bible emphasizes that matters should only be established where there are two or three witnesses. The Bible says also that it is not according to the law of the Romans to condemn a man until he has the opportunity to speak face to face with his accusers, Acts 25:16.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
