CHILD TRAINING REQUIRES LABOUR

God bless you for taking the time to study.

TOPIC: CHILD TRAINING REQUIRES LABOUR

Text:  Genesis 18:17-19

SATURDAY MAY 13th

Key Verse: Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Child training is a labour. It is a work to be done. It involves vision and action, because the Bible says, "In the way he should go." You must design the way you want your child to go. Child training is an activity that takes time. It means, you must create time to be with the child. You have to reduce your involvement in other things for the training. How do you put people in a class for training when the teacher is not there for them? You have to create time for the child. Child training is a challenge. It is a challenge because many things go against it. What do we say about the lazy man? What about the man who occupies himself with other things? What about the traveling man? What about the man that stays too far away from the family? What about the mother who is occupied with business or office work?
Proverbs 24:30-33 I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down. Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it and received instruction. Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep.
Laziness! You have no time, but you spend a lot of time for yourself. You have much time for your pleasure, for that which gives you comfort. You want to get your own satisfaction, so you leave the child untrained. There is a saying “As you make your bed, so you shall lie on it.” In other words, whatever a man sows, that shall he reap. Child training is generally a challenge for parents. It is similar to the law of sowing and reaping.

Thought for the day: Train your child to give you peace and blessing, or leave him untrained and reap the shame and sorrow later.

Song for the day: Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world…

Bible reading for the day: 2 Kings 6-8; John 4:31-54

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
