Many pastors are into ministry for earthly gain and are only interested in the gifts on the altar instead of striving to raise holy altars for the service of God. They are into ministry for money. The Lord calls them blind leaders, “Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?” They have their sets of doctrines. Their doctrine is all about money. They are prosperity preachers itching to siphon money from innocent members of their churches. The amazing thing is that their members who we expect to understand these things never get to understand that they are blind guides of the blind and that both of them will fall into the ditch. A particular minister was holding a crusade in Abuja. He said, “Now I want you to be anointed. Everybody, come with your bottle of anointing oil. Put anointing oil on your right thumb, on your right toe, on your tongue and on your right ear,” and the people foolishly obeyed him. It was incredible! Where was his authority from? Now we can see how Satan has infused darkness into mankind such that human beings are now behaving without reasoning. What is the problem with man that he is not discerning charlatans who masquerade as pastors?
The preacher went ahead to tell them, “Tomorrow, I want to eat your venison so that I can bless you.” He quoted a portion of scripture which says Isaac demanded venison from Esau so that he could bless him. This preacher explained ‘venison’ to mean “That currency that you want God to multiply for you. If you are a man, bring nine of it and if you are a woman, bring seven of it.” Then he gave a testimony that a man brought him a car and he told the man, “I will not thank you. The Lord Himself will be the one to thank you. Within that week, the man got seven cars.” Why do people fall so easily for such cheap deceptions? Surprisingly, the following day, people brought the money. People came with different currencies and he told them, “Just open the money and be fanning yourselves like a big man and a big woman that you are.” If it is not bewitching, how can human beings in their right senses do that? Even the people who were not there with their ‘venison’ were told to come the following day with their own and they still did.
