Topic: WHY A NEW CONVERT NEEDS TO DO HIS OR HER RESTITUTION  November Friday 27th

Text: Judges 17:1-4

Key verse: Judges 17:2 And he said unto his mother, The eleven hundred shekels of silver that were taken from thee, about which thou cursedst, and spakest of also in mine ears, behold, the silver is with me; I took it. And his mother said, Blessed be thou of the Lord, my son.

Not many know or believe your present claim that you are now in Christ. Your further action in restitution will convince them. Go and confess to your husband all those lies you have been telling him. Actually, he might have discovered some of them even though he did not tell you; but has already lost confidence in you. For some women, your husband’s confidence in you is just 50% or 40% because he has discovered your secret sins. The person you did that thing with had informed him without your knowledge.

If you would now come forward to voluntarily confess to him, he will say to himself, “This woman has changed indeed. I was just managing her as one manages a bad tyre hoping to change it when a new one comes.” With her confession he will now be fully convinced of her conversion and changed life because she has opened up on her own on all those secret things the husband knew about and even mentioned some he knew not. This is what God expects of you. Why will you abuse Christianity? Why will you fail to do what is right?

The name of the Lord will be blasphemed if restitution is not done on your past sinful life which is known to all. They knew you as an evil man or a ruffian. Now, they just see you carrying bible about. They will begin to imagine if it is another style you have adopted for your evil practice or you have actually had an encounter with Jesus. They are waiting for your testimony. The people you wronged, the people you abused, they are all waiting to hear that story of your spiritual transformation. But if you do not do it, they will think you have only adopted another strategy to harm them.

Even with the bible you are carrying they will still be suspicious of you and be trying to avoid you. Even if you perform signs and wonders they will think you are using evil power like Simon the sorcerer. May be you are still wearing ring on your finger in ignorance of biblical truth, they will look at it and say that is the source of your power which you must have collected from India or Ghana or Ijebu Ode. They will say among themselves, “Be careful with that juju man.” That is why you need to go and do your restitution so that the people will know about the great grace that saved you and made you a new creature.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
