ZEAL WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE IS NOT GOOD

For taking your time to study remain blessed.

Topic: ZEAL WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE IS NOT GOOD November Wednesday 4th
Text: Acts 10:1-6:
Key verse: Proverbs 19:2 Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good.

In today’s devotional text, we understand that Cornelius was a devout, generous and prayerful man, who feared God with his entire house. Unfortunately, he was ignorant of what he needed to do to get his name in the Book of Life and save himself and his family from eternal damnation. Although he was committed to the worship of God, Cornelius' understanding of God's requirement for salvation from sin and eternal life was very shallow and only based on observance of the Old Testament laws. He was not aware that justification was by faith in Jesus Christ. God saw the sincerity of Cornelius and sent an angel to him to instruct him on what he needed to do to get right with God. He obeyed and sent for Peter who was thirty-five miles away to hear the instruction of life for the salvation of his soul and that of his household. If Cornelius had disobeyed the revelation message and instruction of divine mercy sent to him, he would have perished with his household despite all his alms-giving, prayers, fasting and commitment to God's worship, because their worship was on wrong premises. God can only be appeased through faith on the Lord Jesus Christ, which he was ignorant of.

If you do not want to perish, you must seek for the total truth of the gospel that will save your soul from condemnation. Go for the total gospel truth, embrace it and live by it. Discover the doctrine of salvation, sanctification, baptism with the Holy Spirit, Christian marriage, tithes and offering, restitution, Christian dressing, holiness etc. Make necessary changes in your life, in your family and in your church, if you are a presiding pastor. Are you in illegal possession of someone else's property? Restore such to the rightful owner. Are you in a wrong marriage or “divorce and remarriage” situation? Repent and withdraw from such ungodly relationship. Are you living in wilful sin? Repent, forsake such sins and turn to God. Make right your wrongs.

Thought for the day: You need the WHOLE TRUTH of salvation to get saved.
Song for the day: He can never never change...
Bible reading for the day: Jeremiah 38-39; Hebrews 1

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
