TOPIC: GO AND SIN NO MORE November Saturday 28th

Text: John 8:1-11

Key verse: John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

In today’s devotional text, Jesus told that woman caught in adultery, “Go and sin no more.” That pronouncement is a power just as He pronounced on Peter. Peter said, “If you are the One bid me come on the water.” He said, “Come!” That word went with power that made Peter walk on top of the water. When the Lord says “Go and sin no more,” power follows that statement. Jesus has the power to sustain you and give you victory over sin. If any man is in Christ, he is a new creature. His evil lifestyle is gone; old things are passed away; all things become new.

People that are still committing immorality and drinking alcohol are not yet born again. It does not matter whether you sing in the choir or you are made a leader. As long as you are still going to harlots, or are still in witchcraft; you are not born again. You must make up your mind to stop those things. You must go to God to forgive the past and ask Jesus for power to live the present and future life in righteousness.

You need Jesus to give you power for the future because you still have to contend against sin and Satan. Temptations and fleshly lusts will continue to wage war against the believer in Christ to lure you back into sin as a dog goes back to its own vomit. But for you to overcome, you need Jesus to put His power in you so that you will not sin again. If somebody says he is born again, it means he is not committing sin and past sin is gone. He is forgiven by God and presently, he has the power not to sin again.

So if you are putting this word into practice the Bibles says, the rain will descend, the wind will blow and the flood will come against you but you will stand. You are going to stand because you have the strength of God in your heart and in your life. That spiritual commitment puts into you an undefeatable energy and makes you an overcomer in life.  Whatever may be the forces of decay, the forces of destruction, the forces that pull down, they will never be able to work in your life because you have built your life upon the rock and the rock is the totality of God’s word.

Thought for the day: Jesus has the power to sustain you and give you victory over sin.

Song for the day: Only Jesus can save, only Jesus can save, Alleluia!

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

The Source Of Faith

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. The Source Of Faith  Tuesday 18th March Text: Romans 1:16-17 Key Verse: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 What is the foundation for our faith? The faith of the just man has the following sources, from where it gets its inspiration. The Word Of God: The foundation of the faith of the just, is the word of God.  The word of God is the production room of the faith which the just exercises. The faith of the just has its foundation in what God has said in His word.  Faith seeks for what God has said to stand upon.  Have you seen the promises of God for you, from the word? Have you seen God's message for you, in the scriptures?  Believe it absolutely, and it shall surely come to pass. This will enhance your faith for subsequent needs of your life. “God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, ...
