TOPIC: GOD PLACED HOLY LEADERS IN HIERARCHY OVER YOU FOR YOUR GOOD   November  Tuesday 17th

Text: Exodus 18:25–26

Key verse: Exodus 18:21 Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:

God gave to Moses the ability to understand hard issues, but not everybody. That is why you need to be very careful. If you have a leader over you, know that there are matters that will naturally be higher than you. Humbly take them up to him. Do not say, ‘Who is that leader? I know him. He was my classmate. We finished from the same school.’ If God has placed him above you, he has the greater grace. King Jehoshaphat asked the king of Israel, ‘Is there any man here that we may enquire of him?’” Well, we have Elisha the son of Shaphat who poured water on the hands of Elijah.” “The word of God is with him, let us go to him.”

It is essential to know this so that you don’t despise the hierarchy of leadership, nor despise the person that the Lord has placed over you. Purposefully, the Lord may push hard matters to you to see whether you will obey the scriptures or prove yourself to be a proud man. If you handle such matters carnally and perhaps say, ‘Ah! Am I not also a leader? Has the Lord spoken only by Moses? Has He not also spoken by us?’ Your work will be without reward because you are disorderly and disobedient.

Note that it is expected of those in lower hierarchy to handle the smaller matters as God gives them grace. Why must you always be looking for Moses when there are people that can hear you? Don’t you want Moses to rest? It would be wrong to be calling on Moses even in the middle of the night and be telling stories that other leaders could have handled. Consult the other leaders on minor issues and let them handle them.

Do not overwhelm the International Director with incessant phone calls to make him restless on minor matters that your chapter leaders and coordinators can easily handle. You have leaders over you that you can turn to and they will give you the same answers, because the issue in question is a smaller matter. Follow the word of God and consult your leaders. Concerning the anointing in Moses, even when the Lord wanted to raise men to work with Moses, the anointing for those leaders was taken from Moses because Moses actually had the power and the anointing, only that power and anointing still needs wisdom for effectiveness.

Thought for the day: God has placed leaders over you at various levels for your own good.

Song for the day: Father Abraham has many sons....

Bible reading for the day: Ezekiel 16; Hebrews 12

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
