TOPIC: THE PERIL OF IGNORANCE AMONG CHRIST'S FOLLOWERS November Wednesday 18th
Text: John 8:30-32
Key verse: Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

In the secular world, scientists, politicians, educationists and other enlightened members of
the society lament over the evil and death pangs ignorance casts upon men and women in their society. Sadly, the evils and death pangs ignorance of the true word of God is causing in the church and in the world is far greater. Through the teaching of sound doctrine, the effort is being made to cure men and women of this deadly plague and to usher the believer into the sunshine of biblical truth, righteousness and holiness. Only the truth saves from sin, Satan and hellfire, and only the truth gives eternal life. Like king Abimelech that ignorantly took Abraham’s wife, we find many in our world today who religiously out of sincere and innocent heart follow after God, but are sincerely wrong and condemned by God Himself for non-compliance to His word and righteous standard. Some were born into religions that denounce the Lordship of Jesus Christ as Saviour but in their heart, they think they are serving God in the right way. Unless a man believes in JESUS he cannot have eternal life.

Again, there are people in the church who appear dedicated to God's service and their leaders, but are misinformed and not taught the WHOLE doctrine of truth as outlined in the Scriptures. It is so sad to know that these two groups of people will end up their journey in hellfire despite their commitment and sacrifice. The God who did not excuse King Abimelech but declared judgment upon him for his misdeed will not excuse these people, He will not pity them for their ignorance, but shall surely condemn them to hellfire. The king tried to prove his innocence by claiming he had tried his best to make an enquiry and that Abraham and Sarah had deceived him. These excuses were not good enough to escape the judgment already pronounced upon him. This is one of the dangers of following ignorant and false pastors, teachers and prophets who give false hope and assurance to their beguiled followers. Ignorance is deadly. It kills the soul and damns it to everlasting death!
Thought for the day: Ignorance is dangerous to spiritual life.
Song for the day: Lord teach me Your will...

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
