WALK BY FAITH AND NOT BY SIGHT

For taking your time to study remain blessed.

Topic: WALK BY FAITH AND NOT BY SIGHT October 22

Text: Hebrews 11:4-13

Key verse: 2 Corinthians 5: 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight:

The Lord Jesus told the twelve disciples with Him, “Have I not chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?” Know that as you love God, there are people that love Satan. They will defend Satan before God saying, “What did Satan do after all that God is treating him like this?” They are workers of iniquity who have given themselves to Satan to overthrow righteousness. They are very present in the gathering of children of God, but their identity is hidden. Earrings are not in their ears. They will teach you how to tie holiness head tie. They are not using powder. Their face and hair are natural. They don’t wear indecent dresses which some that profess to be holy put on. Their skirts go down well and no sensitive part of their body is being exposed.

These agents appear original as far as outward appearance is concerned. A man sewed good seed in his field, but while men slept an enemy came and sewed tares among them and went his way. When the wheat grew up, the tares grew up also. “An enemy has done this. Will you then allow us to root them out? He said no, lest you root out the wheat also.” You may fail in your judgment because they so resemble the original that sometimes you will consider the original as tares and you will pull out the wheat. If that happens, you will be doing great damage. Therefore, let them grow together.

God knows that not all that gather before Him are His children but He says let them grow together. He has taken sufficient measures to keep His children protected, but here you are, you are walking by sight and not by faith! Some say, “God, I will be attending Holiness Conference, I will see my life partner there.” You may end up with one of these agents of the devil, and you say, “I have got it!” Out of pretence she may ask you, “Have you told Pastor?” She is just telling lies. She is not serious about that statement. She just wants to catch you in your naivety and you will think you have met a holy person. Investigate well because your life may go for it.

KEY VERSE: It came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, one of His disciples said, Lord, teach us how to pray as John taught his disciples. Luke 11: 1. When Jesus Christ came to us in the flesh, He went into the business of prayer because He was promoting the attribute of God as a prayer-answering God. He would not render that attribute idle or redundant. Nobody knew how John did it, but Jesus reveals here that the success you saw in the ministry of John the Baptist, the victory you saw in his ministry, is because he was a prayer man. John so much valued prayer. He saw the essentials of pr...
