THE CHURCH IS ONE BODY WITH MANY MEMBERS

For taking your time to study remain blessed.

Topic: THE CHURCH IS ONE BODY WITH MANY MEMBERS  October Friday 9th

Text:  Colossians 1:28, 29

Key verse: Ephesians 4:7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

The Church of God is one with diverse gifts of the Holy Spirit for individual members of the body, for the edification and profiting of the entire body of Christ. The mineral resources which the Lord has deposited all over the earth, no matter which part of the earth they are discovered are for the use of the whole world and not for that particular country or region alone. In the same manner, the Lord has deposited various gifts in the church and whatever the gift, it is for the edification and perfection of ONE church. Jesus is not coming at different times for different church denominations. He is coming once for this one church called the body of Christ. This oneness of the church should open the eyes of understanding of the people and set them free from the grip of denominationalism.

It must be clearly understood that the Lordship of Jesus over His church is incontestable and unchallengeable forever. Any minister that is privileged to be appointed by Jesus over His church is there solely for Jesus. Whatever work he is doing is for Jesus. His commission is to Jesus’ church, not his. As a member of His body, the minister is either the eye or the nose or the ear or the mouth to serve the entire body. The preacher appointed over the church has one goal which is to make the members of Christ’s body righteous and holy, and prepare them for heaven. This must be the motive behind his preaching, teaching, counselling, the books that are published and the messages recorded for people to watch and listen to. It must be the reason why conferences, retreats, seminars and workshops are organized and invitation to preach and minister in other places are accepted. The edification of the entire body of Christ must be the motive behind all. Denominational identities should not block the access of people to the teachings of Christ. Denominational sects should not barricade members from the wisdom of Christ being clearly exhibited in the teachings of His word. The wisdom of God for the salvation of the world should not be limited to some denominations only but to every man in the body of Christ.

Thought for the day: Our ministerial service should be for the edification of the body of Christ.

Song for the day: I don’t care what church you belong to....

Bible reading for the day:

Isaiah 41-42; Colossians 1

Every Word Of God For Daily Living For taking your time to study remain blessed July Tuesday 9th TOPIC: WE ARE IN THE TWILIGHT HOUR OF RAPTURE TEXT: Ephesians 5:26-27 KEY VERSE: Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Seeing the traces of the features of the next dispensation in this present dispensation, you should know that you are in the twilight hour. What is a twilight hour? A twilight hour is that hour of the day that you begin to see the traces of the night while it is still daylight (probably 7:00pm to 7:30pm). It is not completely dark, yet it is not complete bright either. While it is still day, you are seeing the traces of the night. A twilight hour is the hour when you are still in this dispensation but you are already seeing traces of the next. The twilight hour is the time that our Lord Jesus Christ was born and even though He came with the New Test...
