The Repercussions of Sin

For taking your time to study remain blessed.

Topic: The Repercussions of Sin                             October Saturday 24th

Text: 2 Samuel 12: 9-11

Key verse:  Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

The repercussions of sin are terrible. Even the society sometimes suffers because of the sin of one man. Today’s devotional text talks about the punishment that followed the sins of David. God was the one that built a hedge around him as Satan revealed concerning Job. But when it came to doing this wickedness of collecting another man’s wife and sleeping with her, and subsequently killing the husband, the Lord punished him. Although David repented later he still had to suffer the consequences of his actions. The repercussion was that his neighbour shall sleep with his wives publicly.

Job remained faithful and righteous even at the peak of his trials and when he was in sickness. Although the wife hated his body because of the boils on him and he could not sleep with his wife, Job told God that if he had slept with any man’s wife then let another man sleep with his wife. There is always a repercussion to any action done in mischief. For you that go about giving yourself to men, are you aware of the danger you are opening to your family, your daughters, and your children in doing that evil? God has been defending, but now your carelessness has weakened the hands of God such that He had to remove His protection and cover over your life and family. The weight of sin is too great. Don’t let Satan entice you with the pleasure of sin. Don’t yield to enticement from sinners or women advertising themselves and selling their bodies without money. Don’t listen to the sweet voice of any man to corrupt your life and bring sin, shame and defilement to you. The shame and embarrassment of sin when the sinner is discovered is great. The Bible says your sin shall find you out. You are doing it now and you feel nobody knows, but when pregnancy comes to you as a young girl, your secret is uncovered and all efforts to abort the pregnancy will fail. It has come out and shame will follow. You may be forced to leave school. What a shame!

Thought for the day: Don’t let Satan entice you with the pleasure of sin.

Song for the day: I am ready to obey Thy word...

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

The local church should teach and train her members on scriptural fasting. Believers need to know that the Lord expects...

The Testimony Of Jesus Is Spirit Of Prophecy.

God's blessings will continually accompany you for dedicating time to your studies. The Testimony Of Jesus Is Spirit Of Prophecy.  Monday 10th November  Text: Jude 1: 2-5 Key verse: Jude 1: 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. The faith of Jesus has already been delivered and it is written in the scriptures. Whatever prophecies, revelations or dreams that comes must not be contrary to the standard in the scripture. They must speak the same thing. The testimony of Jesus is spirit of prophecy. Every prophecy or revelation must honour Jesus and must be according to the written word. Even where they are new things, they must not contradict because the Bible is a summary of the things Jesus did. The Bible cannot contain all things. It must be according to what the scripture has already signified, ...
