TOPIC: TRUTH PRODUCES GODLINESS AND GODLINESS, ETERNAL LIFE
TEXT: Titus 1:1-3
KEY VERSE: Psalm 119:144 The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.

In today’s Bible reading Paul was telling Titus, “I am an apostle according to the Christian faith appointed to preach the truth which produces godliness.” It is not every preacher that produces godliness; it is the truth that produces godliness. The active chemicals have to be present in a cleansing solution to achieve the washing and removal of dirt. If the chemicals are not present, the dirt will remain. Truth is the active agent that works out godliness in hope of eternal life. Truth will produce godliness; godliness will produce eternal life. Where truth is not preached godliness cannot be seen in the air, and eternal life cannot be present.  Eternal life always follows truth.  Some truth are hard and difficult teachings. They are so hard that many may get offended and turn away as they did to Jesus saying, “Who can hear this?” Yes, it is a hard saying but they will produce godliness in you your life, they will produce godliness in the hearers and then this godliness will produce eternal life. Praise the Lord!

Titus 1:3 But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour.  In this text, Paul is saying that God who can never lie, promised eternal life and He committed this true preaching unto him. Actually God gave Paul attention, revealing the mystery of the church through him to the extent that even Peter acknowledged the special grace God bestowed upon apostle Paul. 2 Peter 3:15-16 “And account that the longsuffering our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.” Can you see Peter referring to Paul’s writing as scriptures? He said “in his epistles,” which means Peter was able to read all the writings of Paul because he knew God committed the mystery of the gospel to Paul. Till Jesus comes, the eternal truth in Paul’s writings is still producing godliness in the lives of hearers and taking many to heaven. Live by the truth of scriptures you are being taught in HOREMOW and you will never miss heaven. Hallelujah!

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
