TOPIC: SERVE DILIGENTLY UNDER GOD’S ANOINTED MINISTER
TEXT: Philippians 2:19-22
KEY VERSE: 2 Corinthians 8:22 And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which I have in you.

Serve faithfully and with diligence under God’s anointed ministers because they are carefully chosen to fulfil His purpose among men. God does not choose His vessels in a hurry or as men do. He looks for certain qualities in them before making His choice. He chooses people, who though may appear insignificant to men, possess certain latent qualities that make them suitable for holy use.

1 Samuel 16:6,8-12 And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the Lord's anointed is before him. Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath the Lord chosen this. Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And he said, Neither hath the Lord chosen this. Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The Lord hath not chosen these. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither. And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the Lord said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.

Samuel and Jesse must have been confused until God finally made his choice in David. None of them reckoned with David as the possible successor to king Saul. Compared to his siblings, he was the youngest and he lacked any outward beauty to desire him. But God’s judgment was different. Acts 13:22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will. If God brings you to serve under a man like David in a Christian ministry, be careful not to lose him as losing him is losing your place of ministerial prosperity and peace. God ransacked the world to find a man as David. Having found him he called you to come and serve under him and you want to allow fallen angels, backsliders and your rebellious nature to make you react negatively to God’s choice? That will be terrible!

Thought for the day:  Nobody can choose for God.
Song for the day: Give me oil in my lamp keep me burning….
Bible reading for the day:  Proverbs 15-16; 2 Corinthians 1

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

The local church should teach and train her members on scriptural fasting. Believers need to know that the Lord expects...

UNDERSTANDING ETERNITY WEDNESDAY MAY 10 TEXT: Psalm 90: 1 - 2 Key Verse: “The Lord is King forever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land Psalm 10:16 People that understand eternity are always careful. Eternity means forever and ever, it means ever-lasting, ever-living, never dying. Trillion upon trillion years, eternity is still on, in fact it is life without end. There are two extreme ends of eternity: The kingdom of God called third heaven where God the Father, God the son, God the Holy Ghost, twenty-four elders, saints of God that make heaven, holy angels of God, and entire host of heaven dwell now presently; Hell-fire, where Satan, demons, and sinners that have died in their sins are presently kept. God is the One that introduced eternity. He lives forever. It is not a choice, the One who created us is forever, hence you will live forever, but what matters is where you will live eternally. Remove God from the way, then t...
