QUESTION AND ANSWER SERIES
TEXT: Luke 24: 45-48
KEY VERSE: 1Corinthians 10:16 “The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ”
QUESTION: Does partaking in Holy Communion frequently cleanse believers from sin?
ANSWER:
Partaking of the Holy Communion does not cleanse people from sin. That is an erroneous belief. Now, do you know what it means by the forgiveness of sins, the cleansing of sins, when we say that your sins have been forgiven it means you are no more committing sin. If Jesus says, “Your sins have been forgiven.” That means that sin has been removed; the record on you has been cancelled and a power has been injected into you not to sin anymore. That is what it means that your sins have been forgiven. But if you say you have prayed, “God I am sorry for the immorality I did yesterday, God I am sorry forgive me,” and you are going back to immorality, remember that prayer you prayed was not effective; if that prayer was effective, the thirst of immorality would have left you, the fear of God would have come into you, you will not do it again. But that you still go back to do it, it means that prayer was not effective. Forgiveness of sin means cancelation of sin, removal of sin, the cleansing of sin, the change of life
He that is born of God does not commit sin for his seed is in Him. He does not sin because he is born of God. That is forgiveness of sins. Your sins have been forgiven. You do not sin anymore because you have become born again. The power of His word is In you. The Spirit of God is in you. You do not sin because you have become born again and your sins are forgiven. Now, as a believer; if you go into error, you come back God and repent. When you come and pray for forgiveness, He forgives you, and the power not to do that thing again is put into you. But if you keep on sinning repeatedly it means that sin has not been removed. Holy Communion does not provide for forgiveness of sin, otherwise all those people in that church would have become wonderful clean people. It is only an ordinance to remind man of the death, resurrection, ascension, and return of Jesus Christ. To remind man of the blood of Christ and of the body of Christ broken for us and that those who are to eat it are those who are already holy, whose sins have already forgiven. Sinners are not to eat for forgiveness of sins because that is partaking unworthily.
Now as to the frequency of observing Holy Communion, churches can choose the period they want to take it. How often do you want to it? Wisdom will be needed in taking that decision. Let wisdom lead you to decide the frequency of taking the Holy Communion in your church that will give glory to God.

Song for the day: It is a great thing to serve the Lord

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
