TOPIC: BEWARE OF FAKE CONVERTS October Tuesday 1st
TEXT: Galatians 2: 1--5
KEY VERSE: Galatians 2:4 “And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:”
A young Fulani man came to our camp recently and narrated a sensational story to make merchandize of us. He said that a pastor invited him to Warri from Wukari to put him in Bible school, but that when he got there, he was unable to contact him. All efforts to reach him failed and he became stranded. Some people helped him for four days until his money finished and he sold his handset for sustenance. He then began to seek for help to return back to Wukari. They told him that he could join 911 truck or trailer going to Kaduna. The idea seemed good to him, since if they could just drop him in Abuja, he could seek for help at Holiness Campground, since he had once attended a conference there. So they helped him pay the fare to Abuja and he actually came to us in the camp. He said he attended church in Wukari and gave us the phone number of the pastor. We called and they told us that he actually fellowshipped there. We tried to reach the pastor in Warri but there was no immediate response. We then released fifteen thousand naira for him to go back to Wukari. He was escorted by a brother to the city, to continue the journey the next day.
After they left with the money, the pastor in Warri then called back and we narrated the whole story to him. He laughed and followed up with a different story. He said, “I gave him transport money to come to Warri. Since I knew that their main problems were drug addiction and womanizing, I made sure I restricted their movements. This boy forced his way out because he needed to buy hard drugs, so when he returned, I fortified the place the more and he revolted. He opted to go back to Taraba, and came out and went to some Muslims there, saying, “Look at this person. He invited me to come here and he wants to make me a Christian. Did I come here for Bible? Is it Christianity that brought me here?”
But this is the person that was telling us here, “I am a Christian, I am a convert...” lying tongue! When we heard the real account, we called the brother that escorted him to the city, and relayed to him the true story. “Go and retrieve the money from him. Put him in a vehicle to Wukari, pay the fares and bring back the balance of money, else he will use it to buy drugs. Then tell him that we are aware of the real story.” Then we called the pastor in Wukari and told him the story.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
