TOPIC: MANY MISINTERPRET THE WORD OF GOD TO THEIR ETERNAL DOOM
TEXT: Isaiah 30:8-11
KEY VERSE: Psalm 119:89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

Acts 13:28-29 “And though they found no cause of death in Him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.  And when they had fulfilled all that was written of Him…” The written word was fulfilled! They fulfilled what was written of Him to their doom!  They saw Jesus and listened to Him but they sincerely believed He was not the Messiah. They sincerely believed that they knew the scriptures but they sincerely misinterpreted the word of God to their eternal doom.  In their ignorance, they sincerely went to hell.  One of the greatest disasters that befall you is to misinterpret the word of God. The Jews and their leaders perished for misinterpreting the word of God.  Many will still perish for misinterpreting the word of God. God will not alter His word for anyone. His word is settled for ever in heaven. The fact that you misinterpret in sincerity does not make you guiltless. I pray that you will ask God to examine you and your belief in Jesus and His word.  Say, “Lord examine me and my belief” because people who sincerely believe what they believe and what they believe turned out to be a sincere misinterpretation of scripture led them sincerely in hell.

Even in our day, ignorance abounds in the church. Pastors mount the pulpit to preach and teach what is in their minds, not what is in the mind of God. Unfortunately, we have a horde of gullible worshippers who believe the word of their pastor more than the word of God to their eternal doom. Scriptures are manipulated and misinterpreted to justify sin and they like it so because it encourages them in their sin. They want to continue in their witchcraft, wrong marriages and sexual immorality; the women want to continue in wearing trousers, putting on jewelries, using make ups and all kinds of Jezebelic adornments. They seek churches where the truth of God is compromised so that they can continue with sin in dead conscience. Child of God, abstain from evil and live by the truth of the gospel.

Thought for the day:  Live by the truth of God’s word.
Song for the day:    Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, it’s a light unto my path
Bible reading for the day:  Proverbs 7-8; 1 Corinthians 14:21-40

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
