TOPIC: ESSENTIAL INGREDIENTS IN MARRIAGE FOR FAMILY EXPLOITS
TEXT: Zechariah 9:14-16
KEY VERSE: Daniel 11:32 … But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits

Bible says in Proverbs 18:22, “Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.” This scripture shows that marriage is a divine institution set up to bring great blessings to the family. It is not an institution of regret but of great joy and favour from the Lord. To harness these blessings of marriage, there are certain conditions that must be present as “blessing facilitators.” Let me identify some of them.

1. Trust. This is an essential ingredient in family relationship. Every relationship is built on trust. In the absence of mutual trust, the relationship cannot go far because doubts and suspicions will set in and cause friction and disharmony. Sometimes, mistrust comes from past behaviours such as wife stealing from husband’s purse or diverting food allowance to personal use. A promiscuous husband too will make it difficult for his wife to trust him on matters involving the opposite sex. Let there be repentance and forgiveness to restore trust.
2. Confidence. Do not underrate anybody in the family. Do not underrate each other’s intelligence. Intelligence does not come by academic qualification alone. Do not allow past errors to affect your judgment. Cultivate the habit of encouraging each other even in your failings.
3. Mutual Respect. Respect is reciprocal. As partners, respect one another … spouses, children, everybody. Let it not be said among you that you use foul language against each other. Give room for errors as nobody is above mistakes.
4. Common Goal. Share a common family goal. There are certain decisions even the father as head of the household cannot take alone. Carry each other along in critical decisions affecting the whole family. Nobody is barren of ideas. Rob minds together and place your options before God in prayer.
5. Love. Love is the bond of friendship. Love covers all sins and forgives easily. Love is not selfish but thinks of the interest of others. Love is patient and kind. Love never fails.

Thought for the day: Keep your family together in love.
Song for the day: Lord make us instruments of your peace…..

Bible reading for the day: Proverbs 11-12; 1 Corinthians 15:33-58.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
