TOPIC: WORLDLINESS AND ALL UNCLEANLINESS WILL BLOCK YOUR WAY TO HEAVEN
TEXT: 1 John 2:15-17
KEY VERSE: James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
Worldliness, wearing of jewelry, earrings, nose rings and other kinds of rings, bracelets, chains and all such things are acts of ungodliness, uncleanness, and idolatry. They all come out of the desire of the flesh to beautify the body. They were never part of the desire of God for man or woman. They were never used by Eve the first woman in creation who was the most beautiful woman. No woman on earth had equaled Eve in beauty because she came out perfectly from God. No sin, no stain, no earring, no jewelry of any kind on her. Hallelujah! So, the jewelry women are using now is a pollution by mankind. God remains faithful to His word hence no female child that is born comes out with perforated ear. All those who perforate their ear for beauty will have questions to answer to God. Would you want to improve on God’s masterpiece creation that He called beautiful? God did something perfect and beautiful and you want to add to it? Has He not said you should not add to His word because He will find you out as a liar? That is why we are repeatedly warning, “Don’t use those things,” because they are pollutions. God keeps on saying the same thing in recent revelations. God is against perming, jerry curling, attachments etc. Those things are lies! Your hair is not like that; you are a liar. You are a Nigerian but wearing Chinese hair. Are you not a liar? These things are called false, fake, artificial and you are not suspicious God cannot possibly have anything to do with them? It is like you don’t know how much these things affect God.
If you lodge in a hotel room, would it be right for you to start modifying the room by replacing the doors and windows or breaking the tiles because you don’t like what is there? Will the hotel owner not sue you and claim damages? In the same way, God is going to judge you for tempering with His handwork for you are His temple. You don’t own your body, God owns it! He purposely made hair of various nations different. He created them for His glory. He purposely did it but in your rebellion you are replacing your natural hair with artificial and fake. For your stubbornness, you will answer questions from God and the answer is in hell. Weave-on, attachment, false nails, bleaching and all the worldly things you do to your body are evil before God. God wants you to maintain your natural body, not changing His truth into a lie.
