TOPIC: HARNESSING FAMILY BLESSING IN MARRIAGE
TEXT: Genesis 17:6-8
KEY VERSE: Genesis 28:4 And give thee the blessing of Abraham, to thee, and to thy seed with thee; that thou mayest inherit the land wherein thou art a stranger, which God gave unto Abraham.

Every Christian marriage is a divine plan. God has a hand in it. Even that which you may think is an error in marriage may be God working out His plan. Hebrews 13:4 Marriage is honourable in all. For each household, God has prepared corporate blessings for the family apart from individual blessings. Corporate blessings are accessed together as a family, not individually. That is why it is very important for the family to live together in one accord. Family blessings are different from individual blessings because they are generational blessings that transcend one generation to the other. In Gen. 12:2 God promised Abram, “And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.” Abram and Sarai tried to manipulate things but God insisted, “I have specific people in focus. My plan is on the seed between Abram and his wife Serai, not Abram and Sarai’s maid Hagar.”

Gen 17:18, 19  And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee! And God said, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son indeed [i.e. NOT Hagar]. And you shall call his name Isaac [i.e. NOT Ishmael]. And I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him [God’s plan extending to his unborn generations]. In same way God’s invisible hand is in your marriage, working out a divine plan for a divine purpose. Your meeting and union was not a product of accident. One of the purposes of God is to bring progress to your family – All-round prosperity in wealth, health and sprit. 3John 1:2  Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. To enable Him do this, God needs your cooperation. He gave family resources and strength to achieve unlimited progress. These resources include both tangible and intangible things like skill, intellect, position, anointing, gift of prayer and revelation etc. Prayers becomes effective in marriage when you do your bit. Cooperate together as a family to harness your family blessings.

Thought for the day:  Family blessing is generational. Stay together as one to fully harness it.
Song for the day:   Abraham’s blessings are mine….
Bible reading for the day:
Isaiah 19-21; Ephesians 2

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
