TOPIC: IGNORANCE MAY LEAD TO ERROR OF GRAVE ETERNAL CONSEQUENCE

TEXT:  1 Corinthians 2:6-8

KEY VERSE: 1 Corinthians 2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

The Lord told Nicodemus in John 3:10, “Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? The Israelites were a people very knowledgeable about God, hence to be a master of Israel and not know certain things means knowledge does not necessarily come by position or title. You can have all the big titles, you can be a Reverend Doctor and Reverend Bishop, you can be a GO and GS and GY and G anything and still not know about God and His plan of salvation. The things that they ought to know were available, yet they didn’t know. God will not find you guilty unless He has given you a law. So, when God is talking about people being ignorant, it means He has already provided a means for them to be knowledgeable.

In Matthew 16:11 Jesus said to His disciples, “How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?” He had said to them, take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees, and they began to say, Ah, it is because we didn’t take bread. The point is that the Lord expects us to have some level of understanding. He was speaking to them, He saw that they were arguing about bread, so He said: can’t you understand, don’t you understand, are you lacking in understanding? In fact, God hates ignorance particularly when He has given you the means to know.
It is shocking that the Jews had the word of God in their hands and Jesus was in their midst, yet they did not know Him even though the word of God in their possession revealed Him. Peril of ignorance! From today’s Bible reading we see how they crucified Jesus, the Lord of glory, out of ignorance thinking they were doing God a service. Where are those that crucified Jesus today? They learnt the truth in hell where it is of no more value to them. Hold fast to the truth you are receiving in HOREMOW and don’t compromise because by it your life will be preserved till eternity with Christ.

Thought for the day: Ignorance has sent many to hell. Cure your ignorance now by accepting the truth and living it.
Song for the day:   I want to know You more and more, I want to know You more and more….

Bible reading for the day:  Psalm 85-87; Romans 9

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
