TOPIC: MAY YOU HAVE DEEPER KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF GOD’S WORD
TEXT: Ephesians 1:15-19
KEY VERSE: Psalm 119:18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

Today’s Bible reading is a prayer from apostle Paul. Paul is speaking of revelation, inner knowing, inner understanding of the word of God, the ways of God, the truth of Christ. He is saying I am praying that you will come to that level of deep knowledge. He was saying this because he was not just a Christian; he was not just a minister; he was somebody God gave revelations of truth to. His heart understood the truth of the gospel; he knew what it meant; God caused him to know; he knew it to the second degree of understanding: “I know these things I am saying, I know these things I am teaching.” In Ephesians 3:1-4, he tells us of the revelation knowledge he had of the word of God,

“1For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation He made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)”

Paul is saying, “God gave me revelation of this mystery of the gospel; I have understanding of it. Some see it in picture but I have been there.” It is like I am preaching in London, some people could be watching it on YouTube, but my audience is watching me face-to-face hence they have more detailed information of what I am saying, how I started and so on.  They have a higher privilege watching me preach to them live. Paul had that privilege to be face-to-face with this truth of the gospel. God had bestowed on Paul the wisdom of the gospel, the understanding of the gospel, the mystery of the gospel, for the benefit of the gentiles. Now Paul is praying to God that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance are in the saints, which is all we are passing on to you in this Movement. To this prayer I want you to join me in saying a big “AMEN!”

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
