TOPIC: CORRECT WATER BAPTISM
TEXT: Mark 16:15-16
KEY VERSE: Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

The believer requires water baptism. The baptism that Jesus commanded is in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. It is done by immersion in water because the three Persons are One. In Acts of the Apostles, the people were baptizing in the name of Jesus. They used the phrase “in the name of Jesus” to indicate that the baptism was carried out as authorized by Jesus, and the baptism authorized by Jesus is that which is done in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. It is not to say that they dip people in water and say, “I baptize you in the name of Jesus.” The name of Jesus cannot represent the Godhead. The Father is not Jesus, the Holy Spirit is not Jesus, Jesus is God who became Man, but the Father was still there and the Holy Ghost was still there in the Godhead. These three make up one Divine Being, so you cannot baptize with the human name of Jesus, rather you baptize with the fullness of the Godhead because the Father was involved in the salvation of that sinner, Jesus of course came down for the salvation of that sinner being the Son, and the Holy Spirit was involved in the salvation of the sinner and the three Persons who make one God are in agreement on this matter.

You are submitting the saved man to the Trinity, that is why you baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. You are showing that the Father was involved in his salvation: Father we commit him to You; the Son was involved in the salvation of that person: Jesus, the Son of God, we commit him unto You; the Holy Spirit was also involved in the salvation of that person: Holy Spirit we commit this person unto You. Note also that the baptism should be by immersion in water; either a pool of water or shallow side of a flowing river for safety. Complete immersion and lifting up symbolizes burial and resurrection with Jesus and formal admission into the body of Christ. Note also that baptism is not by sprinkling of water or for infants.

Thought for the day: If you have not done your water baptism in the right way, redo it to fulfil all righteousness.
Song for the day:   Make me ready, make me ready, make me ready O Lord.
Bible reading for the day:
Psalms 132-135; 1 Corinthians 8

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
