TOPIC: LEARN TO CONTROL YOUR TONGUE

TEXT: JAMES 1:26;3:2

KEY VERSE: PSALM 141:3 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

Defilement of the tongue can come from multitude of ways. Talking, and talking, and talking. You want to jest, you want to joke, you want to say everything, dominating the conversation. The Bible says that, in a multitude of words there lacketh no sin. Even a fool, if he holdeth his tongue, shall be esteemed a man of wisdom.

Hold yourself. Do not be forward in speaking. Do not speak overmuch. If you find an environment, even answering questions in the church, nobody is talking. You talk one, nobody is talking, you talk two and nobody is talking, you control yourself. Learn to speak a few words. It gives dignity to your personality.

Control your mouth. The spirit of the prophet is subject to the prophet. With all the healing Jesus did, there was still a crippled man at the beautiful gate. That one will be for another time. So, learn to control your tongue.

Isaac lied about Rebecca; she is not my wife but my sister, until truth was discovered. What about Miriam and Aaron? It is still the sin of the tongue on Moses. God said why were you not afraid to talk about my servant Moses, even his house, his marriage, his wife? Your tongue cannot keep quiet? Miriam, what is your problem?

Did God not know Moses when he appointed him? Did God not know that he was married to an Ethiopian woman? Did God not know about the nature of his family when he picked him? But he picked him. Then why are you talking to earn yourself judgment? Why are you comparing Moses to yourself? Are you on the same level? The tongue! Miriam became leprous because of the tongue.

See Ananias and Sapphira, who lied about what they brought to the Lord. Why are you lying? Did God tell you to bring everything? Why did you promise that you must bring everything? And now by your mouth you are condemned.

Thought for the day: Even if a fool holds his tongue, he shall be esteemed as wise

Song for the day: Give me grace to follow. Abundant grace to follow.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
