TOPIC: THE CALL TO SERVE IN CHRIST'S  CHURCH IS A HOLY ONE

TEXT: 1 THESSALONIANS 4:7-8
7. For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
8. He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us His holy Spirit.

KEY VERSE: 1 THESSALONIANS 4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

Now, you see the calling of God here from the above text. What has God called us not to uncleanness, not to sin, not to a life of lies, not to a life of immorality, not to a life of witchcraft, not to a life of drunkenness. He has called us unto holiness. Live clean, righteous and pure to be perfect. That is the calling that God has given to us.

1 Peter chapter 1 verse 14 to 16. Provides thus, “As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation.”

Conversation means way of life, way of living. That is in all manner of your life. He said, you were living a bad life before. You were living a wicked life before, wicked to your family, and wicked to the society. Maybe as one of these blind guards, you were a pastor over a congregation and you were wicked to them. Now, as He which hath called you is holy, the Creator of our life is holy, the founder of the Christian church is holy, so we must be holy.

Our Savior is holy. To be holy means, you do not commit sin. Even when he came to the Earth, he was harmless. He was holy. He was undefiled. He was pure. So, as He which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation, in all manner of life, in all manner of your living because it is written, be ye holy for I am holy.

Are you a Pastor in the church of Christ’s? Or serving in whatever capacity as a Christian?  You must be holy. So, you can see God has brought you to a level of himself in moral living, in righteous living, in holy living, that you be holy in your thoughts, holy in your ways, holy in your actions. That is what God expects of you.

Yes, believers are called by God unto this life. You are called by God unto this life of righteousness and holiness even as God is holy. And in fact, the Bible says, Jesus says it, be ye perfect even as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Thought for the day. The founder of the Church is holy, so we must be holy.

Song for the day. Called unto holiness

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
