TOPIC:  THE GOSPEL IS NOT A MONEY-MAKING VENTURE

TEXT: TITUS 1:4-9
4. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
9. Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:

KEY VERSE: 1 TIMOTHY 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Pastor Emmanuel Bwacha told this story: “I have this Muslim friend who one day told me that he wants me and him to set up a church. I said, ‘What do you mean by that?’ He said, ‘They are making money from there.’ You know, it is what they see around other people. Some pastors will go to them and not talk about their salvation; they will be talking about money.

How will you that do not know Jesus Christ say, ‘Let us partner and establish a church?’ I mean, it is very ridiculous.  It is just to tell us the level of decay in the church.” Anybody that can speak English will just print a billboard with his wife and keep on the road and put a sign board with an arrow pointing to the place. It is all about money. It is an investment. And with time, it grows.

See the evil that money does to ministers. Some of these ministers were actually called but they turned away from truth and started looking at the benefits associated with the ministry and gradually fell off.

A lot of these people believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ is a commercial enterprise. It is for business. They complain about money. Were you called to do this work for money? Why is your mind on money? Why are you focused on money? We know that money answers all things.

God will not forsake anybody who preaches the truth because since I was young and now I am old, I have never seen the righteous forsaken or his children beg bread. Do not be carried away by fear of the unknown. God will take care of you if you do the right thing.

Know that what is happening in Holiness camp is God Himself that is involved. Resources come in from everywhere. The other day a brother was telling us that when we started the campground project, a brother abroad was sending in a million naira daily for about two weeks.

Thought for the day: The preaching of the gospel is not for money making

Song for the day: I will give, I will give to God, what I have..

Bible reading for the day: Jeremiah 28-30

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
