TOPIC: COMMITMENT TO PRAYER AND FASTING (PART 1)

TEXT: MARK 9:29 And He said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

KEY VERSE: Pray without ceasing.
1 THESSALONIANS 5:17

Prayer and fasting of righteous Christians are powerful weapons that level down spiritual mountains, impossible become possible. Prayerlessness is like spiritual suicide. Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak Matthew 26:41

Certainly, a prayerful Christian is a powerful Christian. Prayer helps to sustains a holy and righteous life, without prayer, there is no holy life. The prayer and fasting assignment of one hour thirty minutes daily for leaders and one hour for members is the minimum benchmark. The minimum for fasting is twice monthly.

The more you pray, the more you become a terror to the devil, the accuser of the brethren. The prayer assignment includes personal quiet time, family devotion, night vigils, prayers in units, chapters, states and nations of HOREMOW. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; Ephesians 6:18.

However, there are some stubborn spirits and situations that required fasting with prayer, for such mountain to be moved. Queen Esther and Jews in the land of Shushan were victorious as a result of their three days prayers and fasting. The people of Nineveh escaped the fierce judgement of God by observing prayers and fasting.

Jesus Christ the Bishop of our souls, fasted for forty days before commencement of His earthly ministry. Accurate record of daily prayers and fasting is essential to avoid lies and over estimation which is sin.

Without prayer in the life of a Christian, there can be no holiness of life. Obedience to the divine assignment helps our making it to heaven. If you are faithful in doing this divine assignment your spiritual life must be transformed.

In fact, many pray and fast above the stated minimum. There are some spiritual mountains that can only be removed by praying and fasting. However, it must be done in holiness and righteousness, void of pride.

Thought for the day: A prayerful Christian is a powerful Christian

Song for the day: Pray until something happens

Bible reading for the day: Jeremiah 1-3

For taking your time to study remain blessed. UNDERSTANDING ETERNITY WEDNESDAY MAY 10 TEXT: Psalm 90: 1 - 2 Key Verse: “The Lord is King forever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land Psalm 10:16 People that understand eternity are always careful. Eternity means forever and ever, it means ever-lasting, ever-living, never dying. Trillion upon trillion years, eternity is still on, in fact it is life without end. There are two extreme ends of eternity: The kingdom of God called third heaven where God the Father, God the son, God the Holy Ghost, twenty-four elders, saints of God that make heaven, holy angels of God, and entire host of heaven dwell now presently; Hell-fire, where Satan, demons, and sinners that have died in their sins are presently kept. God is the One that introduced eternity. He lives forever. It is not a choice, the One who created us is forever, hence you will live forever, but what matters is where you will live eternally. Remove God from the way, then t...

Pastor Paul Rika’s Burden, Vision and Action To Reach the Unreached (2)

God's blessings will continually accompany you for dedicating time to your studies. Pastor Paul Rika’s Burden, Vision and Action To Reach the Unreached (2) Wednesday 15th October TEXT: Titus 3: 3-6   Key verse: Titus 3: 6 “Which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior.” I remember I was in Sao Tome and Principe as a deeper life national overseer and I was writing the book, “Divine Revelation of God’s Holiness and Judgment.” The vision the Lord gave to Michael Sambo. I was translating it into a book, with the scriptural backups to make it a sound evangelistic book. I saw that truly the world is doomed. What will I say about those who have not known Jesus among the 7 billion people on earth; those who do not even have anything to do with Him? Do I speak of the billions in Asia without understanding of Jesus? Out of the 1.4 billion in India, they are struggling to record 150 million Christians including Catholics.  Who knows Jesus then? Even among Pentecosta...
