TOPIC: QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ON TITHE PAYMENT

TEXT: GENESIS 14:18-20

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 25TH

Key verse: Genesis 14: 20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand.  And he gave him tithes of all.
Question: Some denominations don’t believe in tithe payment. I want to be cleared, Sir. Another thing is that some people pay tithe personally to the minister, is it right?
Answer: Abraham paid tithe to Melchizedek, the priest of the Most High God. We do not have the details of Melchizedek but Abraham would have known him and would have been convinced about him. Abraham would have been well directed to do what he did knowing that it is to God as a priest, as a minister of God representing God. It means, as the Lord leads you to give tithe to a minister of God, you know the minister; his life and work, that it is in truth and righteousness. You can do that because the Lord has led you to the right place.
That is to say, the tithe that you want to give to the minister of God, that person should be a true servant of the God of heaven. Yes, but you may say he is not a pastor over a church. The Bible says, the human body has different members. We have the eyes, nose, ears, hands, and other internal members that are not seen. They work together to form the whole body. In the same way, the ministers in the body of Christ do not carry out the same function. There are some that are pastors who gather congregations to pastor them. Some are evangelists and do not have congregations.
Some have prayer ministry, children ministry, and different kinds of ministries that may not have a building gathering people but they are true ministers of God, all working together to produce salvation for mankind. Although the man is not over a church, he is doing great work for God. That man also needs money and he asks of God. The tithe money in your hand as tithe, is God’s money. That man has told God that he is trying to organize a prayer conference. We need money to eat, we need transport money, God, give me money. God can tell you to send His money in your hand to support them.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
