PETER THE LEADING APOSTLE OF JESUS CHRIST

God's blessings shall follow you for taking the time to study.

TOPIC: PETER THE LEADING APOSTLE OF JESUS CHRIST

TEXT: MATTHEW 16: 13-19

TUESDAY OCTOBER 24TH

Key verse: Acts 2: 14 “But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words.”
Peter and his brother Andrew were the first set of disciples that were called by the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ promised to build His church on the truth of the bold confessions of Peter that Christ is the Son of the living God; the Saviour of the world. Peter said Christ is the Rock and chief Cornerstone; the Stone which the builders disallowed. Peter was always outspoken; he asked the Lord several questions and made vital comments that were helpful in clearing doubts on some contentious issues.
When the Lord told the disciples to get into the ship and go to the other side and they experienced adversities, the Lord walked on top of the water towards them, Peter requested that he too should do the same and the Lord granted his request. This is to show that the Lord can save you in any situation if only you can ask in faith. Peter rebuked Jesus when He said that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things and be killed. Peter spoke in his limited understanding as a human being not knowing the spiritual benefit of Jesus’ death to humanity but the Lord quickly rebuked Satan because He knew it was from the devil. This situation calls for caution to examine the voices you hear.
At the mountain of transfiguration, it was the apostle Peter who spoke in amazement about the great vision that was revealed to them. It was also Peter who asked the Lord that they have left all, and followed Him and Jesus said, there is no man that hath left everything for the kingdom of God’s sake, who shall not receive hundredfold now and in the world to come, eternal life. Luke 18: 29-30. This is a strong assurance to all serving God sincerely. Finally, the Lord told Peter to feed His lambs and sheep if he loved Him.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
