TOPIC: GOD'S HEALING THROUGH FAITH AND THE USE OF MEDICINE

TEXT: ROMANS 14:1-4

WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 1st

Key verse: Romans 14: 22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
It is essential to feed Christ's believers with knowledge and understanding of Biblical truth for their righteousness, peace, and eternal life. It is clear from the scriptures that divine healing through faith in God's word and the name of Jesus is one of the ways God heals the sick and delivers the oppressed but God also heals through the use of medicines, conventional or herbal. It is not according to scripture to ban the use of medicine by Christians as is done in some denominational churches. Many people in the churches of Christ who profess Christianity are not really Christians; they still live in sin. To ask such ones not to receive medical treatment but to use faith only is to direct them to a God that does not know them and a God they do not know to receive blessing from Him. They are not children of God.
Again, some in the church who are believers may not be able to generate faith in times of ill health. They cannot be forced to do so. The all-wise God provided an alternative way to deliver His people from perishing due to a lack of faith in divine healing. These are able to exercise faith in God to heal them as they receive medical treatment. Let every man operate according to the measure of faith he has in God. Getting healing from God by faith does not guarantee eternal life. Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Getting healing through the use of medicine does not disqualify the Christian from eternal life.  Take time to listen; be fast to hear. When we are teaching on health tips and the use of medications, do not say that you have no need for them or that you have strong faith in God. There is the place of faith and there is the place for knowledge. Add to your faith and knowledge.

Thought for the day: Let there be moderation or self-control in everything.

Song for the day: I have decided to follow Jesus

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
