JEZEBEL’S ATROCITIES IN ISRAEL

God's blessings shall follow you for taking the time to study.

TOPIC: JEZEBEL’S ATROCITIES IN ISRAEL

TEXT: 1 KINGS 16: 29-30-34

SATURDAY OCTOBER 21ST

Key verse: Revelation 17: 4. “And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication”
Sin and evil grew worse in Israel during King Ahab’s reign. People were bold in their defiance toward God, and His commands meant little to them but Baal worship increased. Baal was worshipped by the Canaanites as the god of fertility, rain, and vegetation. Baal worship included the evil practices of cult prostitution and child sacrifice. Jezebel’s devotion to Baal made her commit a lot of atrocities in Israel. God sent prophet Elijah whose powerful expression of faith and divine victories over the prophets of Baal was followed by uncharacteristic fear and discouragement because of Jezebel’s intention to kill him. Elijah had to flee.
Jezebel further exhibited her wickedness when Naboth refused to release his vineyard to her husband, Ahab. She cooked up charges against him and got him stoned to death and thereafter Ahab took over the vineyard but God was angry and pronounced judgment against them; God destroyed his family. When Jezebel heard that Jehu came around, she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out of the window; this is a seductive attitude. All that use cosmetics and artificial hair for beauty and seduction are daughters of Jezebel who shall be judged as was Jezebel.
Jezebel wanted to replace the worship of God with Baal. She failed in her wickedness, witchcraft, treachery, and seduction. John used the name Jezebel to describe a false prophetess in Thyatira who was leading God’s people into worldly and immoral behavior. Sadly, many pastors; and wives today fall into the same category. Revelation 2:20 “Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce my servants to commit fornication and to eat things sacrificed to idols”.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...
For taking your time to study remain blessed. FACTS TO BE UNDERSTOOD ON REVELATION MESSAGES WEDNESDAY JANUARY 11 TEXT: NUMBERS 12: 4-8. Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
