TOPIC: WOMAN, GOD IS GREATER THAN YOUR HUSBAND!
TEXT: Acts 4:18-20
KEY VERSE: Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

You stood firm when your husband threatened to divorce you if you would not go back to those filthy makeups, attachments and artificial body parts. He had shouted at you, “No, not in my house! Not in this house, otherwise this marriage will end!!” Your reply was, “Yes, go ahead. I have chosen the way of truth. I have chosen Jesus above my husband. I have chosen heaven above the vanities of the world.” We heard of your testimony and it was giving us great joy. Surely, the Lord is raising up a new set of Christians in the world. This was the moving testimony of your life, but not so any more. Why didn’t you continue? Why have you backtracked and now make people to think it is hard to sustain righteousness to the end. Don’t spoil the mind of God. God is greater than your husband. Would you make God to fail an election between Him and your husband? You want to make your husband to win over Jesus? Would you like to see that happen to your Creator, your Lord and your Saviour?

Awake! Awake!! That is the voice of the Lord urging you to wake up from slumber. Wake up and don’t do that thing anymore. Today the prodigal son shall stand up. The prodigal son is going back home. The prodigal daughter is going back home. And these youths that first gave their strength to God but later gave it back to Satan are returning back to God. The Lord is saying, put on your strength O Zion. Get back your spiritual strength and stop wasting away. Regain your sense and strength. The prodigal son came to his senses and said, “Why am I wasting away? I will arise and go back to my father.” Put on spiritual strength. Go and spend time before God and recover for they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Give attention to this very moment and let it be the moment of your recovery. Seek the face of God and receive strength for He giveth strength unto the fainting. Repent you weak one, look upon him and receive strength. You will come alive again. You will be saved. You will recover. You will put on your beautiful garments again. Holiness is that garment. Rise up again with holiness. Stand on your commitment. Samson, your hair has grown again. Now go and exercise your strength. The Lord is giving you one more privilege. Go back and regain your holiness. Do it without respecting persons.

Thought for the day: Only submit to your husband inasmuch as his instruction meets the standard of scripture.
