TOPIC: DELIVERANCE FROM AUTISM – By Seraphine Epie (U.K.) – Part 1
TEXT: Isaiah 41:9-10
KEY VERSE: Isaiah 41:13 For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

I live in the UK and attend the Birmingham Unit of Holiness Revival Movement. I had my son Elnathan in the UK on September 2012 by caesarean section. As time went on, it was discovered that he had hearing problems and so had to undergo operations and grommets were fitted in his ears. As if that was not enough, at the age of four he could neither talk nor understanding anything that was said. He was always very aggressive. He was referred to a Speech and Language Therapist and offered free extra nursery days in an effort to change the situation. One other disturbing thing was that our son could not sleep at night. He often screamed in the middle of the night and ran away from his room to ours as if something was chasing him.
We attended so many speech and language sessions, but rather than see improvements, it was even getting worse. After going from one assessment to another, in 2017 we were told in a pitiful way that our son had autism. I had to go on internet to search the meaning. The worst part of it was that there was no treatment for it. However, I was encouraged when I saw some testimonies from Christians who had gone through a similar situation and God had worked wonders in their lives. The whole scenario made me to cry bitterly and, in my prayer, I promised God that if he answered my prayer I would testify everywhere to His glory. Elnathan means ‘gift from God’ so I believed God will perfect him because every gift from God is good and perfect.

We were again invited for another meeting with a doctor, a speech and language therapist and I think a teacher to talk about the diagnosis and further arrangements to support our son. During the meeting, I told them I am a Christian and I don’t believe my son was going to remain that way for the rest of his life thus was not going to accept the diagnosis or him being labelled autistic. The Multidisciplinary team tried to explain to us the situation could only get worse. We were asked to go home and think over the matter. At our next meeting, I maintained my stand.  A final report was later done without any conclusion of diagnosis.

(To be continued tomorrow).

Thought for the day: There is no case beyond the power of Jesus.
Song for the day: My God is able … only Jesus can save.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
