TOPIC: DO NOT LUST AFTER THE PLEASURES OF THIS WORLD
TEXT: ISAIAH 5: 11-12
Key verse: Hosea 4:10 For they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit whoredom, and shall not increase: because they have left off to take heed to the LORD.

There is this licentiousness, wantonness, outrageousness, shamelessness, insolence, filthy and unbridled lust in the life of youths that render them defenseless before evil spirits’ invasion (1 Peter 4:3-4; Isaiah 5:11-12). When you seek the pleasures of this world, you are seeking honour not of God but of yourself and man (John 5:44; 12:43; 2 Tim 3:1-7; Philippians 3:18) thereby leaving the gate of your life wide open for evil spirit invasion. The lust for the pleasures of this world leads youths into various habits such as drug addiction, cocaine, heroin, marijuana, smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol or strong drinks etc. All these evil habits are ways youths are being infested with evil spirit (Proverbs 31:4, Isaiah 5:22). Some youths are fashion crazy, they tend to wear anything called fashion even if it means going naked or wearing skimpy clothes that expose their cleavage, not minding where the fashions are originating from. Most of these fashions originate from the pit of hell (Zephaniah 1:8).

Youths and Worldly Hairstyles: Youths do not border to know where all the funny and weird hair styles are coming from. I see some male youths carrying on them what looks like coffin on their head in the name of hair style. These hair styles are the designs of evil spirits and when you carry them on your head, you are invariably associating with evil spirits.
Youths and Immorality: Immorality is a common lifestyle prevalent among youths. By immorality I mean fornication, bisexuality, homosexuality, lesbianism, oral sex, immoral touches, use of obscene languages etc. When youths indulge themselves in all these evil practices, they turn their destiny into a piece of bread for the enemy of their soul to feast on (Proverbs 6:25-28). Immorality is a gateway through which evil spirit infest the youths.   

Thought for the day: Do not give yourself to pleasure as people of the world.
