TOPIC: NO GAIN IN SERVICE RENDERED WITH WRONG ATTITUDE
TEXT: Malachi 1:6-8
KEY VERSE: Deuteronomy 15:21 And if there be any blemish therein, as if it be lame, or blind, or have any ill blemish, thou shalt not sacrifice it unto the LORD thy God.

In today’s reading text, God is saying if you serve under a man as you are serving me with lethargic spirit the man will discard you. Let us repent and come back to a gracious life serving God in a dignified manner like angels. You think you have been in service for a long time but God will not respect the long years you have served. You are after personal gain for every service and activity in the church. It is like somebody asking, “After I have interpreted to a missionary that came to town what will you pay me?” God is saying if you serve Him for personal gain and not for love or as a matter of honour, He has no pleasure in you. If that be the case, should the Lord require new sets of people to do this work? Is the church to get new set of people since the ones she has have lost the vision? People that will be consumed with passion for their God. Please wake up and return with the former zeal. Whatever you are given to do, do it zealously.

It is highly contemptible to give up service of God in pursuit of personal desire and gains. Malachi 1:13 Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness is it ! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the Lord of hosts; and ye brought that which was torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should I accept this of your hand? saith the Lord . How have you been carrying out your assignments in the service of God? Has it not been with weariness and shoddiness all the time? If you die in this condition, where will you be going? You are always offering the weak and unprofitable things. Things no more required that you will not dare give to your human masters. Is that the right attitude of service? Will such sloppy performance attract God’s commendation and reward or condemnation and rebuke? Whatever you find to do, do it as unto the Lord. God will not accept service not given wholeheartedly. God will not accept anything less than 100%.

Thought for the day: Serve God wholeheartedly.

Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All

God's blessing shall be following you continually for taking the time to study. Them That Sin, Rebuke Before All   Monday 24th March Text: 1 Timothy 5: 19-22 Key verse: Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20 God wants you to avoid doing evil while saying you want to go to heaven. You may be a member of a worldly church and be saying, “It is my tribal church; if I leave them, they will be angry. I do not want them to be angry.” Is it God you want to make angry by your compromise? You will see the anger of God indeed. It is through the word that you perfect the people, and as a result, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not suffer sin upon your brother. Thou shall reprove him.” Your brother or sister has done a bad thing, and you do not bother. You leave them in their sins. They may do the same to other people. The Lord says, “Correct them.” Do not allow sin to be in them because sin will take them to hell. The Bible says, “Them that sin, rebuke befo...

Key verse: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. God has given revelations to many in our days and He is still in the business of doing that. The choice of these messengers is His sovereign will. Some of these revelations are written in books for all to read and some are shared verbally. There are scriptural facts to be understood on these revelation messages. They follow the pattern of scriptural revelations in the Holy Bible. Some are given in plain, simple and direct language, while some are given in pictorial language and figures of speech. The recipient of the revelation may be an ignorant person whose understanding is unfruitful, hence, he may not be capable to interpret the revelation received. Except God gives the grace of interpretation to ...
